On Love and Cooking

Ive been sick and depressed the whole weekend. I really dont like being sick i have to stay at home and rest. And the medicine makes everything tasteless even bitter. Luckily im fine now and i can go back to work and hopefully my boss wont scold me. Even though work is kinda boring it would still beat staying at home and trying to feel better.

There are also some good points in staying at home well first i get to blog and ofcourse i was able to think of something to blog about. As i said when ur sick food is tasteless but i have to eat atleast to keep me strong or probabaly just drink a lot of juice. I love eating and cooking it gives me fulfillment. I think the best thing about life besides falling inlove is eating and cooking. In a book i read it was quoted that you must approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Its interesting actually cause in my cooking i like to experiment. Im not a trained chef but as i said i love cooking and since i got to do with whats in the fridge i usually experiment with what i have and most of the time it turns out surprisingly well. i just know how much salt, water or how long should i mix and cook it to get to the consistency and hey im not the only one who likes my cooking even my family and friends like what i have to offer. I dont know why some people dont like to cook some are afraid of the cooking oil, some dont like to chop, others dont like the heat but atleast everyone eats they just dont like the preparation.

I only wish that i could be the same with being in love. If i could approach love the way i do my cooking i would be more successful for sure. Not afraid of the boiling oil or the heat or putting spices. Being able to concoct something nice from what i got and be happy in the end.

In love Im always careful always cautious and conscious but still i get hurt. Thinking about it I might as well go all the way out atleast whatever happens whether it will be a bitter or sweet ending atleast i know i gave my all. Okay that made me feel much better

My palate can again taste food Yahooo... too bad i cant eat sweets my throat is still not a hundred percent and im on a diet i almost forgot :)P.

First day of the love month. The signs are there red splatters everywhere, heart shaped candies and ofcourse the ever present figure of cupid with his bow and arrow.

To welcome the love month i went to a salon and had a haircut and shop the whole day(lots of sale). Spending is fun.. hehe. Now with my money on the hand of the businessmen who run the malls i guess i could now do some real dieting if you know what i mean.

Lets get back to valentines which probably next to christmas is the most corporate driven "holiday" in the world not only for the couples but also for he singles out there. If you have a special someone you need to do something special for your love. Being a cheapskate is unforgiveable. The ads on TV tell you so, there are lots of movies to watch, restaurant to eat out and stuff to buy. And ofcourse the singles are not spared we can't be lonely on valentines day u know. you can treat yourself to some expensive resto also attend some party made especially for the single even send yourself a gift and pamper your self in a spa. After all we dont wanna look unpretty on this day or month. So in whatever way we spend valentines the key word there is spend and luckily its pay day what a perfect day it will be.

I'm currently addicted to a song entitled Hallelujah no its not a praise song and im not changing religion. If you're familiar with american idol it was sang by Jason castro. It was originally sang by Leonard cohen but Jeff Buckley version is so phenomenal.
this link is a live version and just incase you also fell in love with the song its included in the album released in '94 entitled GRACE. The album is beautiful.

LINKS!!!! to my favorited website

When you visit the internet almost everyday there are ofcourse site you go to regularly.
When i checked out all of my favorited website i realized that most of them are webcomics. Either because i love to read or i love the graphics im not really quite sure but in any case webcomics are part of my daily browsing

I will list my favorited webcomic here in the world wide web based on how long ive been exposed to the comic

The first one is . Its usually a three panel comics its quite different because instead of drawings they uses Photographs. Its quite dark but very funny at some point disturbing. The one that provides the photos is Emily Horne and the words is Joey Comeau. You should also try browsing the site for some other works of Joey he is hell good.

The second one is nerdy comic its quite popular i believe A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. The author of this comic uses stick figures but based on some of his drawings on the comic its not because he is lacking talent he can definitely draw great pics if he wants to. I dont know what xkcd means though but i sure love the sarcasm the romance the language but not so much the math.

One slice of life webcomic i regularly visit is . Its the life of Marten Reed, his pervert android and his girlpals. I like the progression of the art in this comic, introduction of new characters and the thanks giving turkey.

Now the latest comic ive stumbled upon and my new favorite title is "girls with slingshots." I read this comic 4 hours straight just to update myself to the life of Hazel Tellington the alcoholic, loveless, aspring writer and heroine of the story. The best thing about this comic is that i could relate to it. Its about Women and their struggle and more... it also doesnt hurt that the punchlines were really really funny.

Found it!!!

The red plaid mini skirt i found online Its quite cute. So for now this is my official mini skirt. I still dont have a time frame or any exercise program that i'll try to follow. What i'm trying to do is to control my food intake. A friend suggested that i should try Hiphop dancing cause it will work my belly. Yoga is also something i'm considering. A friend also suggested some medicine and chinese tea, but i'm not too comfortable in taking drugs for weight loss. After ive decided about the program i'll follow and the achievable time frame i'll post it here and follow it to the letter
