Books

And its okay to be lost in that world.

So with that introduction ililista ko dito ang mga libro na naging pinaka-memorable sa akin ko over the years. And that's how a good book should be hindi mo basta nakakalimutan.

Rocks of Valpre by  Ethel May Dell (1914) Genre: Romance

I fell in love with the characters so much na iniyakan ko talaga ng todo ang nobela na ito.

The Little Prince
What i love about this book is that it never grows old. I dont even know kung maituturing talaga siyang children's book dahil kahit matanda na ako natutuwa pa rin akong basahin ito. It takes on a new meaning everytime i read it.  So kung nabasa nyo na ito minsan read it again and i'm sure mag-eenjoy pa rin kayo at may bagong matututunan.
The God of Small Things
I just like the title so binili ko siya. One word to describe this book is HAUNTING in capital letter. I would recommend this book to anyone regardless of the kind of genre they like to read.It didn't matter that the story had begun, because kathakali discovered long ago that the secret of the Great Stories is that they have no secrets. The Great Stories are the ones you have heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don't deceive you with thrills and trick endings. They don't surprise you with the unforeseen. They are as familiar as the house you live in. Or the smell of your lover's skin. You know how they end, yet you listen as though you don't. In the way that although you know that one day you will die, you live as though you won't. In the Great Stories you know who lives, who dies, who finds love, who doesn't. And yet you want to know again.

 Breakfast of Champions

Its dark and funny in a crooked kind of way. This is probably one of those either you love it or hate it kind of story. Gustong-gusto ko siya. Yun na. “Trout was petrified there on Forty-second Street. It had given him a life not worth living, but I had also given him an iron will to live. This
was a common combination on the planet Earth.”

Moon and Sixpence
I can't begin to tell how much I love this novel. The main character in this story is anything but nice. He is eccentric, selfish, uncaring but somehow I totally relate to his character. "To the acute observer no one can produce the most casual work without disclosing the innermost secrets of his soul."

The pretenders

This book is part of the Rosales saga series by The great Sionil F. Jose. There is something very unforgettable about the character of Tony Samson. He just clings on to your senses and you can't help but feel sorry for him kahit alam mo na he somehow brought the tragedy upon himself. Mabuti na lang.“Life is always sad. That's what makes suicide so tempting because life is all that we really have and haven't. Death makes us equals, too, because the foul and the good all die. The past, the present, and the future-what escape is there from these? None-and yet sometimes we are life's happy victims.”

I love reading mystery novels, especially by Sidney Sheldon. You should try reading one of his books. :)

But i love watching suspense thriller.
